This year we are concentrating our efforts in the area of the cemetery that has some of the oldest graves. The graves along Pine Street (many with monuments carved in brownstone) were originally located downtown, between the Old First Church and the Connecticut River. Railroad construction in that area required the removal of over 500 graves to the new cemetery off of Maple Street.
